Paris Saint-Germain faced RC Lens on Sunday and won 2-0 as part of Matchday 4 in Ligue 1. After the game, 29-year-old PSG full-back Lucas Hernandez spoke to PSG TV about the team’s victory.
Hernandez: “We did the job, unfortunately there were two or three setbacks”
“It was very important to get these three points and to regain good sensations ahead of this long week with a Champions League game and then Le Classique. We did the job, unfortunately there were two or three setbacks. Hopefully it’s nothing serious because we need everyone.”
This is an important win for PSG as they prepare for their Champions League return on Wednesday at home against Atalanta Bergamo. Unfortunately, the victory was marred by three new injuries on top of those already sustained by Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé.
It’s now a real headache for Luis Enrique, who will have to line up his team without several key players. After the tremendous season they had last year, such a setback was always a risk. But PSG have the depth and the resources to keep winning — whether it’s this Wednesday at the Parc des Princes or next Sunday at the Stade Vélodrome
