Paris Saint-Germain will play their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Liverpool at the Parc des Princes this Wednesday. As before every important match, the Collectif Ultras Paris has called on its supporters to rally and support the team to victory.
“It’s time to continue the story, to keep alive this dream that has brought our club to the top of Europe. As always, various displays and tifos will electrify the stadium and leave a lasting impression around the world. But Paris Saint-Germain’s greatest strength is us: its supporters. (…) We call on all Parisian fans to be there from the moment the gates open to transform the Parc into a veritable cauldron, from the first minute to the last.”
It’s clear that Luis Enrique and his men will need a packed Parc des Princes to be galvanized and determined to secure the victory. This first home game is crucial to gaining an advantage in the race for qualification. There will be a return leg at the iconic Anfield stadium, but the capital club also has fond memories of reaching the Round of 16 last year at the same venue.
They will therefore need to get part of the job done this Wednesday, before attempting next week to secure a place in the semi-finals of this prestigious competition, of which the Red and Blue are the current title holders.
