Paris Saint-Germain drew 2-2 against Lorient this Saturday at the Parc des Princes in Matchday 32 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. After the match, PSG coach Luis Enrique spoke to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “It’s an opportunity for Lens”
“All matches are difficult, but first and foremost, I’d like to highlight the Lorient match. They’re a team that wants to play, a very courageous team. I’d like to congratulate the coach and his team; it was a tough game.
I think it’s a match we deserved to win. We created enough chances to win, but we hit the woodwork three times. We have to accept it; it’s a shame because we needed those three points. It’s an opportunity for Lens, and we’ll see what happens with their result.”
A draw was a somewhat logical result for PSG, who hosted FC Lorient between two Champions League semi-finals against Bayern Munich. Luis Enrique was forced to rotate his starting eleven, and in these circumstances, finding a balanced lineup is always difficult.
All eyes, whether on the players, journalists, or fans, are already on Munich. PSG can rest easy, however, as Lens drew 1-1 against Nice, maintaining a six-point lead over the Parisians. The match of the season will take place this Wednesday at the Allianz Arena, and in these circumstances, it’s difficult to dwell on a draw in Ligue 1 that has no real impact on the standings.
