João Neves, the 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, spoke to Ligue1+ following PSG’s 1–2 defeat to Monaco this Friday at the Parc des Princes during Matchday 3 of the 2026–2027 Ligue 1 season.
Neves: “The best choice of my life.”
It was a tough night; Monaco put in a very solid performance?
Yes, Monaco is a very strong team. Obviously, it’s a special day, though a sad one for me, as it marks my 100th match for the club. I am very happy to be here; I always say it’s the best choice of my life. But I can’t be happy [with the result]. For me, the team matters more than an individual milestone. Today isn’t a day to be happy, but that’s how it is. There are still plenty of matches left, and we will approach every game in the best possible way.
