It was a resounding victory for Kvaratskhelia, and that’s no surprise. The Georgian international is in top form, both offensively and defensively. In addition to creating chances, he scored another superb goal, this time full of technical finesse (rather than his usual long-range shot). This completed his brace, including a penalty.
Other players also impressed, including Désiré Doué (20-year-old midfielder/forward), who we expected to receive more votes. But Lucas Beraldo (22-year-old defender/midfielder) was convincing in midfield, while Achraf Hakimi (22-year-old right-back) rediscovered his form after a difficult evening against Lyon on Sunday. Some also appreciated the introduction of Bradley Barcola (23-year-old forward).
