On Friday evening, the Paris Saint-Germain and Nantes women’s teams faced off at the PSG Campus during Matchday 3 of the 2026-2027 Première Ligue Arkéma. Following PSG’s victory (1-0)—achieved despite a red card in the 57th minute—Parisian defender Griedge Mbock (26) spoke to PSG TV.
Mbock: “We did it in fine style, even if it was right at the death.”
It was a tough match. It went right down to the wire (smiles). The important thing was to score and take the three points tonight. We did it in fine style, even if it was right at the death. What matters is those three points and keeping our good momentum going. And not conceding a goal; our objective was to keep a clean sheet. We managed that tonight.
Mbock: “We had worked on this kind of scenario, too.”
A real sense of satisfaction to get the win in the end?
Yes, absolutely. We had worked on this kind of scenario during the week, even though we hadn’t anticipated being down to ten players so early in the match. We had also practiced situations where we needed to find a goal in the last five minutes. That’s what we did. It paid off.
Mbock: “I was well supported.”
Does it feel good to be back in action?
Definitely; it was a tricky match to come into, being down to ten against eleven. But I was well supported. My teammates did the job alongside me, too. We went out and got the win—that’s the most important thing. I’m also very happy to be back competing.
