This Wednesday, in a rescheduled match from Matchday 26 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Nantes at the Parc des Princes. Vahid Halilhodzic, the Nantes coach, spoke to Ligue1+ after PSG’s 3-0 victory.
Halilhodzic: “It’s a rough patch for us.”
Are there any reasons for hope tonight?
Look, it’s a rough patch for us. That penalty, for me, was gratuitous. Was it there, or wasn’t it? I don’t know. After the disallowed goal, was it even a goal? I don’t know. With everything that’s happened, even the goals they scored, they didn’t have many chances.
The second goal was fantastic. In the second half, I asked us to score a goal to make PSG doubt themselves. And then we conceded that goal on a fast break, and that was it.
Halilhodzic: “We have to congratulate the referee, who admitted he made a mistake.”
Are your players devastated?
This whole thing about the match against Brest is really hurting us. We have to congratulate the referee, who admitted he made a mistake. I’m suspended for four matches even though I was asking for an explanation. I was really angry, and I got a four-match ban, which is a shame, for the club, for our image.
