Paris Saint-Germain defeated Nantes 3-0 this Wednesday at the Parc des Princes in a rescheduled match from Matchday 26 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. After the match, PSG coach Luis Enrique spoke to PSG TV.
Luis Enrique: “I think it’s important to show our ability to play.”
“I’m particularly happy today because we won the match, which is the most important thing when you reach this point in the season, but also because I saw the performance of the players, who don’t play many minutes but show their level. I’m thinking of Beraldo, Dro, and Mbaye, who played again. I think it’s important to show our ability to play, regardless of the players, and to perform as a team.”
Luis Enrique: “We are confident, but the hardest part is yet to come.”
“A four-point lead feels good. Lens will play on Friday, and we’ll see what their result will be. It will be close, as it has been throughout the competition. Lens has shown a high level all season. We are confident, but the hardest part is yet to come: these are the final matches of the season.”
An important victory for PSG, who are currently in the thick of the title race. After their defeat against Olympique Lyonnais last Sunday, Luis Enrique’s men knew that Wednesday’s points were crucial to regaining a four-point lead over second-placed Lens. In this match, the Parisians gave Nantes no chance.
Very clean in terms of pressing, positioning, and intensity, there was unfortunately little the Canaries could do. PSG also sends a strong message to their rivals in the league and on the European stage. The Parisians are determined to achieve the double and will do everything in their power during these last weeks of competition to achieve it.
