On Wednesday at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain drew 1-1 against Newcastle in Matchday 8 of the 2025-2026 Champions League. As we now do after every match, we asked our readers to vote for the best PSG player of the game. Vitinha (25-year-old midfielder) won.

It was a victory that wasn’t entirely unexpected, even though Warren Zaïre-Emery (19-year-old midfielder) seemed a strong contender with another very solid performance. The PSG youth academy graduate added some excellent passes, including one that almost proved decisive when he set up Ousmane Dembélé (28-year-old forward) in the box. But Vitinha orchestrated the game and scored a beautiful goal, a truly memorable performance.
Behind him, Bradley Barcola (23-year-old forward) was clearly the most dangerous attacker. His finishing is still frustrating, but it’s already much better than Désiré Doué (20 years old), who seems a bit lost at the moment. Meanwhile, Dembélé is too inconsistent.
One might have expected Nuno Mendes (23-year-old left-back) to be ranked a bit higher, but there’s nothing “shocking” about it either.
Thank you for your votes. As a reminder, the top three players from each match are then used to determine the Player of the Month.
