On Saturday evening, Paris Saint-Germain secured a 1-0 victory against Nice in Matchday 11 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season at the Parc des Princes. Here are the highs and lows of this win.
Highs –
A (nearly) rediscovered PSG.
We almost experienced a major disappointment and a potential slide down the standings. This would have been very unfair for a PSG side that steadily improved, culminating in a superb second half. Paris rediscovered its suffocating rhythm, both with and without the ball. It was a real pleasure to watch and gives us reason to look forward to a bright future. They’ll need to maintain this momentum on Tuesday against Bayern Munich.
Gonçalo Ramos scores again.
Generally disappointing during the absences of other strikers, Gonçalo Ramos saw his playing time reduced, being a substitute in four consecutive matches. But this time, he found the back of the net after an impressive performance. This can only do him a world of good. Excellent news, as such a confident striker can be a major asset.
Lows –
Inefficiency.
As mentioned earlier, PSG almost failed to score despite numerous opportunities. The collective quality should be highlighted, but it’s also important to emphasize that the Parisians need to be a bit more clinical. Perhaps this late goal, a welcome relief, can help them rediscover some spontaneity and confidence in their final passes and shots.
