On Thursday evening, the Paris Saint-Germain and OH Leuven women’s teams faced off at the PSG Campus during Matchday 2 of the 2026-2027 Women’s Champions League. Following PSG’s 5-0 victory, Parisian midfielder and captain Sakina Karchaoui (30) spoke to PSG TV.
Karchaoui: “We delivered a quality performance.”
“The goal was to secure the three points. That’s what we did tonight, and I think another key takeaway is the quality of our performance. It was important to implement our game plan—the one we’d been working on all week with the coach. I think we executed it well, and that’s what led us to these three points today.
Karchaoui: “We’ll need her and all the girls.”
Naomie was named Player of the Match, which makes me happy. She scored two goals and provided two assists; she deserves it. As a new signing, this is what we expected from her, and we can see what she brings to the team—as shown again tonight in this match. We’ll need her and all the girls to go on and win more big matches with the club.”
Karchaoui is understandably delighted after such a victory. The scoreline is gratifying, especially given the quality of the performance. The team unit is solid, and the hard work put in during training clearly paid off, allowing them to dominate the game convincingly. The Parisian side also displayed the clinical finishing that had too often been lacking.
Within this strong collective, certain individual players were able to truly shine. Including Naomie Feller. This will do her a world of good after a somewhat mixed spell. Notably, she was not selected for the French national team in October. That was a blow—albeit one that has since been somewhat softened, even if it is clear she will need more than just this to bounce back fully. We trust her to turn this moment into a minor setback left in the past—or a spur driving her toward a magnificent season.
