On Thursday evening, the Paris Saint-Germain and OH Leuven women’s teams faced off at the PSG Campus during Matchday 2 of the 2026-2027 Women’s Champions League. Following PSG’s 5-0 victory, Paris coach Paulo César spoke to PSG TV.
Paulo César: “This result was very important. The girls achieved it in style.”
“This result was very important. The girls achieved it in style. They were very clinical; I think they performed well in every phase of play. The team unit functioned very well. Playing in front of our supporters was another very positive experience, just like against Frankfurt. I hope we can continue with the same mindset they displayed on the pitch. Personally, I am very satisfied and very proud of what the girls delivered today.”
Paulo César: “I think the team unit functioned really well.”
“I know the girls have quality, both collectively and individually. Naomie played a great game, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Sakina played out wide and had a very good match. There was also Isabela, Tara… I think the team unit functioned really well, and the performance in this match was almost perfect. I am very happy with what the team produced. They truly deserved this victory.”
The Paris coach can only be delighted after a match like that. There is the scoreline, which is obviously positive, but also the quality of play that accompanied it. This wasn’t a victory born of a strange stroke of luck; the Parisian players delivered a complete performance, excelling both in winning back possession and in how they used the ball. The team performance was impressive, bolstered by individual players in fine form. It was a great night that should serve as a springboard for building momentum with confidence—while remaining humble, of course, as there is still much to achieve this season, including matches that will be tougher.
