Last September, after Olympique de Marseille’s victory against Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1, Marseille defender Leonardo Balerdi (26 years old) celebrated with a photo of himself looking down at Nuno Mendes, who had fallen between his legs. A “in our stadium, our way” comment to which the 23-year-old PSG right-back responded after winning the Trophée des Champions last night.
“Try it next time Balerdi.”
A logical reaction; you have to accept the banter once you start. That’s why it’s sometimes better to remain discreet. Perhaps a rivalry within the existing one between PSG and OM is growing. The Ligue 1 match on February 8th could provide another example. It just needs to stay within acceptable limits.
