A packed Stade de France set the stage for Paris Saint-Germain’s dominant 3-0 win over Reims in the Coupe de France final. PSG made light work of their Ligue 1 relegation playoff opponent, securing their 16th title in the competition (watch the video highlights and goals). After the match, Bradley Barcola, who scored twice, spoke to beIN SPORTS, sharing insights on his goals and the emotions behind PSG’s latest triumph.
Bradley Barcola: “We had to prepare this final properly to be ready for the big one.”
Did you set PSG on the path to victory?
“We knew we had to get the job done quickly against a team like this, which is very solid defensively. So we kept the tempo high, created chances early, and made them count. We’re happy with the win.”
Managing the game afterward?
“We knew we couldn’t afford to concede. Sometimes, when you’re ahead, you relax and give away cheap goals. Tonight, we told ourselves we weren’t conceding. And if we could score more, we’d go for it. We finished 3-0, kept up the tempo, and we’re satisfied.”
Perfect preparation for the Champions League? How’s the team feeling?
“We knew we had to prepare this final properly to be ready for the big one. We did it the best way possible. We’ll go into the final confident. We know exactly what we need to do now.”
