“We all know we are playing against one of the best teams in Europe. So, I think everything matters—from the smallest details to the big picture. We need to stick together, fight for every ball, support one another, and communicate. But one of the most important things is staying focused for the full 90 minutes.”
The defender isn’t getting sidetracked; there is no question of focusing on just one aspect of the game or a single player. PSG is a well-rounded side, and the threat comes from all over the pitch. His team has no choice: a top-class performance is required to take at least a point.
That said, Paris must not assume superiority or take victory for granted. Football is unforgiving, and things can change in an instant. The Parisians, too, will need to be fully focused to kick off their European campaign in the best possible way. It is time to rediscover their clinical edge, as their opponents will be ready to give their all in pursuit of an upset. It is up to PSG to match the intensity and show greater precision in both penalty areas than they have of late.
