Wilson Odobert, the 20-year-old Tottenham striker, held a press conference on Tuesday evening to discuss tonight’s Champions League match (Matchday 5) at the Parc des Princes against Paris Saint-Germain (kick-off at 9 pm, CET). It’s a special match against the European champions, but above all, against his former club (2017-2022). This comes alongside two other former PSG players: Randal Kolo Muani (a 26-year-old striker currently on loan) and Xavi Simons (a 22-year-old attacking midfielder).
Odobert: “Coming back here as a player is like a dream. But I have goals. I’m not a kid anymore.”
Kolo Muani’s return?
We know he’s a quality player; having him can only be beneficial for us. He always gives his all, in training and in matches.
Were you a ball boy at the Parc des Princes in 2019?
Yes, I remember. We waved the banner in the Champions League. Coming back here as a player is like a dream. But I have goals. I’m not a kid anymore. I want to perform well for my team.
A connection with Xavi Simons?
It’s true that having played together when we were younger, we have a certain connection. But I try to Connecting with everyone. I know Xavi very well. I know he wants to combine with me, and I’m there if he wants to combine with me. It’s natural.
After a season slowed by injuries, is this the real launch for you?
I’ve always given my all. I was injured, and I worked hard to get back to my level. I’m young, I have room for improvement. I don’t set limits for myself. I have goals, and I will always give my all, no matter what.
