On Wednesday, during Matchday 5 of the 2025-2026 Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain faced Tottenham at the Parc des Princes. After a match where the Parisians dominated while making numerous mistakes, they won 5-3. Here are our player ratings for the Parisians.

Contents
Goalkeeper –Defenders –Midfielders –Forwards –Coach –

Goalkeeper –

Lucas Chevalier (4) – He didn’t have much to do in the first half. He made a poor clearance on Tottenham’s second goal. Another “error” from him.

Defenders –

Warren Zaïre-Emery (6) – Tottenham attacked extensively down his flank, yet he wasn’t too troubled in the first half. He lacks Hakimi’s energy and confidence. However, he showed some promising signs. The only thing he really lacks is his desire to hurt the opposition offensively.

Marquinhos (5.5) – A decent first half. He showed some signs of physical fatigue at times, but still an encouraging performance.

Willian Pacho (6) – He was very impactful in the first half. Not exceptional on Kolo Muani’s second goal. He did manage to score, though, the quiet strength of this team.

Nuno Mendes (5) – You could tell in the first half that he was coming back from injury. He wasn’t pushing as hard. Replaced at halftime by Lucas Hernandez.

Midfielders –

Joao Neves (6) – An average first half for him, although there’s little to criticize. Always there to win back possession and press. He’s a valuable player in the unsung work.

Vitinha (7) – The only Parisian goalscorer in the first half, but he wasn’t at his usual level. He’s quite a player, though. Twice PSG were down, and he was the one who turned things around each time. His leadership qualities are growing stronger every day. He was even decisive against his own goal, making a costly mistake that led to Kolo Muani’s second goal, and then he completed his hat trick with a perfectly executed penalty 15 minutes from time. He was replaced in the 93rd minute by Ilyia Zabarnyi.

Fabian Ruiz (6.5) – Probably PSG’s best player in the first half. His second-half goal shows that he’s been consistent in his performances for months now. A high-quality player who continues to perform at a high level.

Forwards –

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (6) – He was a constant threat and was rewarded for his efforts. He was involved in some key plays. You can tell he misses his teammates from last year, but once again, his performance was solid, if not exceptional. Replaced by Gonçalo Ramos in the 79th minute.

Quentin Ndjantou (5) – A decent match from him; he battled hard. His positioning was limited, but that’s to be expected. Replaced by Ousmane Dembélé in the 79th minute.

Bradley Barcola (4) – A frustrating match; he struggled to make an impact and lacked confidence in front of goal. Replaced in the 54th minute by Kang-in Lee.

Coach –

Luis Enrique (6) – His coaching has paid off; his boldness is making an impression, especially with Ndjantou in the starting lineup. He’s won another Champions League match this season, which is a credit to him. This year’s PSG seems composed, but with less room for error (for now) than last year.
