Paris Saint-Germain secured a 1-0 victory against Troyes this Saturday at the Parc des Princes, as part of the 10th matchday of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season. Following the match, PSG manager Luis Enrique spoke to Ligue1+.
Luis Enrique: “We created enough goal-scoring opportunities to win.”
Was this a tricky match?
Good evening. Yes, as is usually the case when you play against a team that is struggling—especially here at the Parc des Princes. I think they played very well. They managed to overcome our pressure, particularly in the second half, and created chances of their own. It was a difficult game, but that’s always the case with matches like this—we knew that going in. Still, we created enough opportunities to win.
Luis Enrique: “This is the first time we’ve won every match between international breaks.”
You scored another goal from a set-piece; is this something you’ve been focusing on even more?
There is always room for improvement in every aspect of the game. Especially in matches like this, where you might have 80% possession, you have to be precise with your set-pieces—they’re crucial. Today, that led to our goal, and we’re pleased because this is the first time we’ve won every match between international breaks. We’re happy about that.
Luis Enrique: “We’re connected—and happy anniversary to them.”
Is this a nice gift for the supporters?
It’s a small gift for them. They are incredibly important to us; we’re truly connected—and happy anniversary to them!
