Bradley Barcola, Paris Saint-Germain’s 22-year-old striker, spoke to Canal+ after the 0-3 victory (see video summary) over RB Salzburg on Tuesday at the Red Bull Arena in Round 6 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase. He spoke of the victory, which felt good even if he didn’t score.
Barcola “Let’s hope it stays that way”.
How good is this win?
It’s important, we knew that if we wanted to continue in the competition we had to win this match. We did it in the best possible way. We got off to a good start, which enabled us to play a good game. We’re happy tonight. I hope it’ll continue like this.
It’s going to be good, isn’t it?
Yes, I think it will. We’d been struggling in front of goal for a few games. Scoring 3 goals away from home is great. Let’s hope it continues.
Barcola “we’ve seen that when we play without question, it allows us to win games.”
Didn’t you score?
Yes, it’s a shame, we’re still missing that little something to score that little goal. I’m continuing to work and I hope it’ll come in the next few games.
Was it becoming a real block?
No, not a blockage, but we were asking ourselves a lot of questions. Today we’ve seen that when we play without questioning, we win games.
