This Tuesday, as part of matchday 6 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase, Paris Saint-Germain (25th) take on RB Salzburg (32nd) at the Red Bull Arena (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on Canal+Foot in France). In the run-up to the match, the press tried to guess the team to be fielded by Paris coach Luis Enrique. As well as the Salzburg team.
RB Salzbourg :
Le Parisien (4-3-3) –
Nene – Ratkov – Yeo
Gloukh – Gourna-Douath – Bidstrup
Guindo – Bajcetic – Baidoo – Dedic

L’Equipe (4-3-3) –
Dorgeles – Ratkov – Yeo
Gloukh – Gourna-Douath – Bidstrup
Guindo – Bajcetic – Baidoo – Dedic

With a large number of players injured, Salzburg will have to adapt, and we’re not expecting any tactical madness. Even if an adaptation to PSG can be attempted. Watch out for counter-attacks, of course. But the Parisians must have the solutions.
PSG :
Le Parisien (4-3-3) –
Barcola – Ramos – Lee
Zaïre-Emery – Vitinha – Neves ou Ruiz
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma.
L’Equipe (4-3-3) –
Barcola – Ramos – Lee
Zaïre-Emery – Vitinha – Neves
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Donnarumma.
Every team seems possible, but there are no certainties with coach Luis Enrique. He knows how to surprise, with strong choices in competition and an analysis of the opponent that can lead to certain ideas.
Like seeing Zaire-Emery on the left, as was the case against Auxerre, for a more defensive role and a freer Nuno Mendes. While Neves and Ruiz are a little more at ease creating attacking moves, it’s a choice that would make sense. Especially with Ousmane Dembélé’s suspension.
We’ll have to wait for the official announcement before we can be sure of the starting eleven, but on the whole we have our doubts about the team that is taking shape, given the last few games.
