Warren Zaïre-Emery, 19, spoke to DAZN after the 2-1 defeat to Strasbourg on Matchday 32 of Ligue 1 (video Highlights Strasbourg/PSG). He insists that Paris Saint-Germain played their hearts out and doesn’t want to trivialize everything that’s been done this season.
Zaire-Emery “I think we did what was necessary throughout the season”.
Do you think two defeats in Ligue 1 are anecdotal?
I think we did what was necessary throughout the season, we took game by game and played them all the same way. That’s why this team has been unbeaten for the last two games in Ligue 1. Now, we know how hard it is to do what we did, and we mustn’t trivialize it.
We’ve got to keep on doing what we’re doing, because today wasn’t a bad game for us. We took two goals, one from a set-piece, the other when we were a man down. We tried to get back into the game, we gave it everything we had tonight.
Are we all looking forward to Wednesday’s game against Arsenal?
No, we’re not looking ahead to Wednesday’s game. We took this game as it should have been taken. We’ll have to keep going on Wednesday and do even better to qualify.
