This Sunday, as part of Matchday 20 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes. Diego Moreira, the 21-year-old Strasbourg winger, spoke to reporters in the mixed zone after PSG’s 2-1 victory.

Moreira: “Paris is one of the best teams in the world.”

An encouraging defeat?

We know that Paris is one of the best teams in the world, for me the best in Ligue 1. We tried our best, we held our own. It comes down to details; we can’t afford to concede that second goal, especially with 11 against 10.

Moreira: “I had something to prove to myself.”

A good duel with Nuno Mendes?

For me, he’s the best full-back in Ligue 1. I had something to prove to myself. Every time I had the ball, I tried to go one-on-one. We also had to prevent him from attacking, because we know he’s dangerous when he gets going. Guéla Doué and I worked hard. But it wasn’t enough, otherwise we would have at least taken a point.
