Over the past few hours, several media outlets have reported growing tensions between Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique and several players. One of them is 22-year-old striker Bradley Barcola. This was denied by PSG Inside Actus, although there is indeed anger within the squad.
“No problem between Barcola and Lucho. You’ve got to stop lying. On the other hand, yes, Dembele and Luis Enrique aren’t madly in love…”
“There are tensions with certain players, I admit… Dembélé, Kolo Muani, Kimpembe, Donnarumma and even Désiré Doué are starting to get on Luis Enrique’s nerves. But between Barcola and Luis Enrique, I can confirm that there are no worries.”
It’s easy to believe that some players are a little unhappy at the moment. In fact, it’s rather reassuring, given that the latest results have been disappointing. And they’re coming on the back of some poor individual performances.
Coach Luis Enrique has to make choices, and not everyone can play. It’s simple, you have to fight to deserve to be on the pitch and then help the team.
But little tensions are part of any season, there’s no need for drama. We simply can’t let them get in the way. Let’s let the staff and players work to get back on track and put all that to one side.
