The group stage of the 2025-2026 Champions League concluded on Wednesday, not without a few surprises (see the full standings here). While awaiting the play-off draw this Friday at 12:00 PM, RMC Sport has announced the amounts paid by UEFA to the top 10 clubs and the three French clubs: Paris Saint-Germain (11th), AS Monaco (21st), and Olympique de Marseille (25th).
- Arsenal: €59.74 million
- Bayern Munich: €57.33 million
- Liverpool: €54.92 million
- Tottenham: €53.9 million
- FC Barcelona: €52.89 million
- Chelsea: €52.57 million
- Sporting: €52.26 million
- Manchester City: €51.94 million
- Real Madrid: €37.93 million
- Inter Milan: €37.61 million
- PSG: €36.6 million
- Monaco: €30.65 million
- Marseille: €28.69 million
As teams move away from the top spots, and especially outside the top eight, the gap widens quite quickly. This is another key aspect of this competition. Money isn’t everything, but it’s a valuable asset for preparing for the future and staying close to the top. PSG can have real regrets, even if their playoff spot remains a respectable result. AS Monaco was less expected to finish in the top eight; now we hope they can avoid the playoff between Ligue 1 clubs.
For OM, the question is moot, and elimination will also have a significant impact on their budget. There isn’t a huge gap with Monaco at the moment, but there are other revenue streams to pursue. Marseille can blame themselves; they seemed to have what it took to at least reach the playoffs.
