Here is our saga. Five good reasons to watch a match (with a few adjustments here and there). We will revisit the appealing aspects before each match with a mix of seriousness and humor. Please note that this is not an exhaustive review of the issue. We continue here with Paris Saint-Germain’s (1st) match this Wednesday against Lorient (16th) at the Stade du Moustoir on the 10th day of Ligue 1 2025-2026 (kick-off at 7 p.m., CET).

5 – Lorient, promoted and on the attack!

Despite its status as a promoted team, Lorient is not in the habit of playing defensively. The philosophy is there, with a desire to create. This has the advantage of a relatively prolific attack (12 goals scored), but the downside is clear: they have the second worst defense in Ligue 1, having already conceded 21 goals. This bodes well for a spectacular match against PSG. However, Lorient could also adapt to be more defensive.

4 – Another opportunity for Gonçalo Ramos?

Clearly, the 24-year-old striker hasn’t particularly benefited from the absences in attack to impress. He maintains his image as a useful substitute, but one who struggles to convince as a starter. With the rotation this Wednesday, the Portuguese player could have another opportunity. He’ll have to seize it, if that’s the case.

3 – Neves is back.

João Neves, the 21-year-old midfielder, has been out for several weeks and is finally back. We’d be surprised if he starts, but we can hope for some playing time. A great moment for him and the team. Hopefully, he’ll get a run of games.

2 – Doué still decisive?

Désiré Doué (20-year-old midfielder/forward) has made an impressive comeback from injury, proving decisive in every game. Not to mention, as usual, pulling off some stunning moves. We hope to see him confirm that he is in good shape and ready for a great season. Even if, logically, he is not yet at his best.

1 – Dembélé back in the starting lineup?

Ousmane Dembélé has played twice since his injury in early September, but without being a starter. The games are coming thick and fast, so we need to be cautious and give him time. But we hope to see the 28-year-old forward ready to start again. That would be great news about his fitness and raise hopes of him helping PSG, as time is running out at the end of the season.
