How do you feel about the win tonight?
We did what we always do. The team shows the same intention, no matter which players are wearing the PSG jersey. We’ve shown over the last few games that we’re always competitive, that our aim is always to win, and that’s invaluable.
Luis Enrique: “Today we could have scored one more goal”.
Are you satisfied with the team’s performance?
It’s always difficult to play against a Toulouse team that defends very well. They work very well. But I’m very satisfied, because it’s a match that comes between two Champions League games and we can easily lose, but it’s an important capacity that we have to be able to play at this level.
Today we could have scored another goal. It was difficult to play on this pitch, for both teams, but as I said, we’re lucky to have such a large squad to help us achieve our objectives.

Fabián Ruiz was back in the starting line-up tonight, he’s an important player for the squad and for mentoring the younger players, especially Mayulu?
Fabian scored a goal today, and that’s what he’s been missing in this team, because with his national team he scores a lot more. He’s a very important player for us. And today Mayulu was a very important and impressive player for what he can do with and without the ball.
I’m delighted with his defensive attitude and the number of balls he’s collected. We have a lot of confidence in him. He’s showing that, despite the competition, he manages to get playing time and makes the most of it. So, in conclusion, these are two very important players for our team.

Did you know before the match that it would be a tough encounter?
I knew it was a match that would give me headaches, because it was a match in which we had little space. It was difficult to create chances, we had trouble finding space at the back, but we were able to take advantage of it. I repeat that the state of the pitch was difficult.
I haven’t looked at the statistics, but I think we created more chances than in our previous matches. And even though they’re going through a difficult period, they once again showed against us that they’re a great team and that they can raise their game.

Would you say that your players are now enjoying the game enormously?
I don’t think my playing principles are difficult to assimilate, but I think the most important thing is that the players enjoy the training sessions as much as the matches.
It’s very important that they enjoy themselves at different times of the week, whether it’s during talks, training sessions or matches, and this is something that has been assimilated since last season. And with every day that passes, my team shows that it has a lot of resources and that it knows how to solve problems.
