This Saturday, as part of the 22nd day of Ligue 1 2024-2025, Paris Saint-Germain faced Toulouse at the Stadium. After a match in which the Rouge et Bleu clearly didn’t play a great game, they nevertheless managed to stay very serious and win 0-1 (video highlights Toulouse/PSG). Here are our grades on the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Matvey Safonov (6) – A first half without any major problems for him. An even quieter second half.
Defenders –
Achraf Hakimi (6) – It’s rare to see him like this. He was a little “absent” from the first half. Still, he played a serious match.
Lucas Beraldo (6) – Took all the balls with his head and was clean through the restart. He still lacks personality in duels on the ground, but that’s encouraging nonetheless. He’s also more fluid on the ball.
Willian Pacho (5) – It has to be said, Pacho has been a bit under the weather of late. He manages to do some good things at times, but he’s less serene and less strong. Replaced by Marquinhos in the 63rd minute.
Lucas Hernandez (6) – Still seems a little short. He’s easily caught up in a rush and has trouble defending in one-on-one situations. He was able to play 90 minutes, which is good.
Midfielders –
Fabian Ruiz (7) – Good overall activity. Sometimes lacks risk-taking in his play. He can bring the light. His goal and overall performance were pretty good. Replaced by Vitinha in the 63rd minute.
Lee Kang-in (6) – The Korean was good in the first half, dribbling, controlling and directing the game. Clean, but rarely takes risks. Replaced by Ousmane Dembélé in the 63rd minute.
Senny Mayulu (6) – His lack of physicality showed. He didn’t shine as he often does. Small spaces and Toulouse’s tight defence didn’t help. A good second half, he found his rhythm. Replaced by Joao Neves in the 92nd minute.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (4) – A very average first half overall. No better in the second, and he’ll have to work hard to integrate this team’s playing principles.
Désiré Doué (4) – Talented, but played “too” easy at times in the first half. He needs to keep pressing his passes and speeding up the game. Instead, we saw moments when he slowed down, watching himself play. Very nonchalant on Saturday, he didn’t shine as brightly as usual.
Bradley Barcola (6) – All he lacked was a goal in the first half. He needs to be more accurate in front of goal, but his speed is a force to be reckoned with. Replaced by Gonçalo Ramos in the 73rd minute.
Coach –
Luis Enrique (7) – He turned the ball over and the first half was not very conclusive. PSG still had the ball and pressed hard, but it was more in attacking play that the coach made a mistake in the first half. In the end, it was another victory, and for that, we can say that the contract has been fulfilled.
