Carlos Soler, the 28-year-old midfielder who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022 from Valencia with a contract until 2027, failed to impress on the pitch and was loaned to West Ham for the 2024-2025 season. He has now returned to Paris, with a solution to be found for the future. Journalist Fabrizio Romano announced this Wednesday that there is no doubt that an agreement will be reached.
It’s a bit vague; this journalist is used to being a little more precise in his announcements. But we can assume he is confident that an agreement will be reached before the end of the transfer window. It’s not so bad, even though concerns may be mounting as the end of the season approaches (September 1st at 8 p.m.).
Soler has suitors, and negotiations should be successful; that’s the main thing. This avoids having a player (and his salary) stuck in Paris. We’ll now wait to learn more about the destination (Villarreal and Brighton are the most discussed clubs) and the format.
