Marco Asensio, Paris Saint-Germain’s 29-year-old midfielder/attacker under contract until 2026, failed to fully establish himself with coach Luis Enrique. So he was loaned out to Aston Villa for the second half of the 2024-2025 season, but was not retained by the English club. After his return, we’re waiting to find out what his future holds. In recent hours, there has been talk of him signing for Fenerbahçe, but this is not yet a done deal. TuttoMercatoWeb reported on Thursday that agent Jorge Mendes has offered him to AC Milan.

The agent, who is very close to the Rossoneri, is looking for a home for the Spaniard, who will have to lower his salary to seek a new destination. In recent hours, there has also been talk of talks with Fenerbahçe coach José Mourinho, who would be delighted to have him under his command, but the choice – if it were possible – would be for a more attractive league, such as the Italian championship, after all.”
At 29 years of age and with his contract set to expire in a year’s time, Asensio would like to play more to try and get himself called up for the American World Cup. He doesn’t fit into Luis Enrique’s plans and it’s not out of the question that there could be an agreement for a possible loan.”
A relatively credible announcement, but we’re bound to remain cautious when there’s nothing concrete. The possibility of a transfer to Fenerbahçe has been mooted by a number of media outlets, and is now the most likely option.
Even so, a change is possible, except that these rumors can also be used as leverage in negotiations. So let’s wait and see. But AC Milan could be an interesting option for Asensio, with playing time to be obtained and a project to be relaunched.
