Paris Saint-Germain’s 26-year-old goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (contract until 2026) has stirred up the transfer window with a move the club is hoping for, while Lucas Chevalier (23, French national team) has arrived from Lille to replace him. He is expected to sign for Manchester City on this final day. L’Equipe, via Loic Tanzi, claims that the transfer was indeed completed before the end of the transfer window and that the official announcement will take place tomorrow.
Loic Tanzi:
“No worries about Donnarumma at Manchester City. The transfer is complete. The announcement could only come tomorrow, but everything is finalized.”
Bruno Salomon:
“As announced by my friend Loic Tanzi, the Donnarumma file is well and truly closed. The goalkeeper has signed his contract with Manchester City. The transfer is worth around €35 million. The clubs plan to communicate on Tuesday morning.”
We were expecting the deal to be made official this Monday evening, but it will have to wait. Fortunately for all parties, the transfer was completed on time. We’re waiting for the deal to be made official, but the page is turning for one of the best players in PSG’s history, or at least one of the players present in the epic “Champions League victory.” Good luck to him and to the competition, and we obviously wish him the best.
