Gianluigi Donnarumma, the 26-year-old goalkeeper who joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 on a contract until 2026, is at the center of rumors. His departure is certain, as he was not called up to the squad for the European Super Cup against Tottenham following the arrival of Lucas Chevalier (23, French national team) from Lille to replace him. His agent Enzo Raiola spoke to Sport Mediaset about the goalkeeper’s future.
“Premier League clubs are getting busy. “
“We are considering moving to the Premier League because we think it could be the right place for an important player like Gigio.
Premier League clubs are getting involved, and it’s the league Gigio aspires to, even from a professional standpoint.
After playing in Italy and at PSG, the Premier League could be the next step, as you would be playing in the best league in the world.”
The rumors were right, and now it’s official: Donnarumma will probably play in the Premier League next season. More specifically, there’s talk of Manchester City. It’s a relatively logical move, given that Ederson (31) is on his way out again and has reportedly already reached an agreement with Galatasaray.
It’s also a great move for Donnarumma to further cement his place among the best, even if his profile doesn’t entirely fit with coach Luis Enrique’s game plan. We’re still waiting to find out his destination, but we suspect it will be a prestigious one.
