Noham Kamara, the 1-year-old defender under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2028, was expected to leave during this winter transfer window. Discussions with Olympique Lyonnais were among the rumors. L’Equipe reports that the deal is now finalized and provides details of the agreement.
“Noham Kamara will leave Paris Saint-Germain for Olympique Lyonnais. The two clubs have reached an agreement for a loan until the end of the season with an obligation to buy for €4 million and a maximum of €1 million in bonuses. A four-year contract awaits the versatile center-back at the end of his six-month loan, until June 2030. Paris has also negotiated a percentage of any future transfer fee.”
We remain cautious regarding the financial details, which vary across media outlets. However, the figures are similar and the agreement seems to be in place for all parties. We’ll wait for the clubs to clarify things, even if the transfer fees aren’t necessarily announced. For the moment, the transfer isn’t certain since it’s not official. However, there’s very little doubt.
Kamara is expected to join Lyon before the transfer window closes tonight at 8 PM to try and fully launch his professional career, as playing time is too limited at PSG.
