Khéphren Thuram, 24-year-old midfielder for Juventus Turin (contract runs until 2029) and the French national team (1 cap), has been mentioned as a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Corriere dello Sport gave a clear answer on Monday.
“Khéphren Thuram is playing an increasingly important role in the Juve project. The Italian club wants to extend his contract with a significant pay rise.
For his part, Khephren Thuram has no plans to leave and hopes that Kolo Muani will return to Juventus, a desire shared by the striker.
The two players remained in contact even during the days of intense negotiations between Comolli and Campos.
PSG’s interest in the midfielder? It’s not serious, it’s just a simple piece of information, but Juventus have announced that they won’t be selling their player.
Corriere dello Sport “
We remain cautious, as this is still just a rumour and the situation could still change. However, it is at least as credible as yesterday’s announcement of a possible transfer. Which seemed far from likely just 1 year after Thuram’s arrival at Juventus, and with the idea of an extension already on the table.
Which is the most likely outcome, with Paris involved to spice things up. Whether this is a desire on the part of the newspaper to attract visibility, or on the part of the midfielder’s entourage to put a little pressure on the negotiations.
There could be a surprise in store, but Thuram currently appears to be a long way from PSG. For the moment, the PSG mercato is particularly vague on the arrivals front.
