Julian Alvarez, the 26-year-old Argentinian striker for Atletico Madrid (under contract until 2030), was linked with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024 when he left Manchester City. But the idea of a move to Paris has recently resurfaced. Journalist Romain Collet Gaudin confirms PSG’s interest, highlighting that the Parisian club is also interested in Lee Kang-In (25-year-old midfielder/forward) and Gonçalo Ramos (24-year-old striker). Could a swap deal be on the cards?
Luis Enrique still greatly admires Julian Alvarez and would approve of his profile for a move to PSG. Kang-In Lee and Gonçalo Ramos remain very serious targets for Atletico Madrid.
The swap deal isn’t explicitly mentioned in the media yet, but the idea is taking shape. Alvarez is almost daily linked with PSG, while Lee and Ramos have already been repeatedly linked with Atlético. It’s easy enough to imagine discussions along these lines. It would seem quite logical.
However, for the moment, we must remain cautious and take a step back. PSG’s interest in the Argentinian hasn’t been concretely confirmed, nor has the possibility of the Spanish club making a move for Lee and Ramos. We also know that swap deals are often very difficult negotiations. The players have to agree, but the clubs also have to agree on each player’s value. Nothing is finalized, but the saga seems likely to continue. At least in the rumor mill.
