Yan Diomande, the 19-year-old RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast striker (under contract until 2030), has been linked with a move to Liverpool, reportedly amid a bidding war between some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain. Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg claimed on Monday that PSG and Liverpool have held initial discussions.
This is a relatively credible report, given Diomande’s status as one of the season’s breakout stars, and both clubs are likely to be actively pursuing an attacking player this summer. It makes sense to be proactive, as discussions may well have already begun.
However, these are still just rumors. Nothing is concrete, so there’s no certainty. And even if there are contacts, an agreement is far from being reached, either with the striker or Leipzig. Let’s remain cautious; the situation still needs to be clarified.
