Throughout the year, and especially as summer approaches, rumors circulate about Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer plans. This time, RTI Esporte reports their interest in Gabriel Mec, the 18-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder from Grêmio. He has a contract until 2027 and could cost around €20 million.

He’s a young talent, and PSG, like all clubs, needs to keep an eye on emerging players. Interest is entirely possible. However, it’s also far from certain. And even if it exists, it could easily lead to nothing. Paris is monitoring many players, Mec might have other plans, and so might his club.
This rumor could well join the dozens we see every year without any follow-up. We’ll have to wait and see if it’s worth taking more seriously. We can’t forget that PSG is now often part of the transfer market’s media frenzy. Whether it comes from the club, the player’s entourage, or the media.
