Nicole Anyomi, the 26-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt and Germany forward, had been linked to Paris Saint-Germain during the 2026 transfer window. However, London City Lionesses announced her signing to a four-year deal this Thursday.
It is a disappointment; there was hope that PSG would pull off what would have been an excellent signing. Unfortunately, the outcome is not entirely surprising, given the fierce competition for Anyomi. The Parisian project still needs to regain stability and ambition to attract top-tier players. The challenge, as always, is that securing such players is precisely what would make returning to the forefront easier.
