While the €170 million figure might be a bit of an exaggeration, it sets the tone and makes a transfer in the €150 million range seem more plausible.
It is also likely that the Parisian club will want to secure a major signing to replace Barcola before greenlighting his departure. That said, nothing is set in stone yet; the transfer market can move very quickly. The coming weeks promise to be intense, and the outcome remains uncertain. There is no need for panic at PSG, however; one can assume the summer has been well planned.
