Paris Saint-Germain could further bolster its attack before the women’s transfer window closes. According to Le Parisien, the capital club has contacted Chelsea regarding Mayra Ramirez, a 27-year-old Colombian forward who is under contract with the Blues until 2028.
A major opportunity for the Parisian attack
“Having already signed Serbian defender Andjela Krstic and forward Naomie Feller, Paris recently reached out to Chelsea about striker Mayra Ramirez.”
PSG is exploring the possibility of pulling off one final ambitious move. In January 2024, Chelsea paid €500,000 to sign the Colombian international from Levante, making Ramirez the most expensive player in the history of women’s football at the time. That record has since been broken, but it highlights the forward’s status when she arrived in England.
A complex deal to finalize under time pressure
“They will also need to convince Ramirez, who remains under contract until 2028. In short, several hurdles remain, but Paris is working behind the scenes to make the deal happen.”
However, the deal is far from done. Mayra Ramirez saw limited playing time last season due to injury, although she did return to action towards the end of the campaign. PSG must now ascertain Chelsea’s demands, secure the player’s agreement, and move quickly before the transfer window shuts. It is a challenging scenario, but one that underscores Paris’s determination to further strengthen its attacking line.
