Said El Mala, a 19-year-old German striker under contract with Cologne until 2030, has been reported to be on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar for the transfer window. The journalist confirmed to CFBayern that there is indeed interest. But it is more of a race between Bayern Munich and Manchester City for this player who, according to German media, will cost more than €40 million.
“It’s TRUE: Said El Mala, Bayern’s target, is attracting the attention of PSG and Inter Milan. Bayern have put him on their list. These two clubs don’t particularly scare him.
However, we have heard in Munich, and this may be of interest to the Premier League, that Manchester City has also put him on their list. When City is in the race, Bayern Munich is always aware that things can get a little risky, as the two clubs have a similar style of play and Pep Guardiola is an attractive coach for a young player.
So Bayern told FC Cologne: “If Man City contacts us, please let us know so we can also make an offer.”
Nothing is impossible. El Mala is a talented player who may attract interest and, probably, offers in the coming months. However, this is only the beginning of the rumors, and it is difficult to be certain about anything, whether concrete offers will be made or not, or what the possible price might be.
Each club mentioned may well be tempted, except that nothing is certain because they may all have other options. There is also no indication of any preference on the part of the striker. We will therefore wait and see how this situation develops. There is no reason to believe that El Mala will join PSG, but it is a possibility.
