Ilya Zabarnyi, the 22-year-old central defender from Bournemouth (contract until 2028) and Ukraine, has been announced as a defensive priority for Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer window. There is now talk of an imminent transfer to PSG. Journalist Fabrice Hawkins reports today that all that’s missing is the signings, as the clubs have agreed on all aspects of the transfer.
“FULL AGREEMENT between PSG and Bournemouth for Illia Zabarnyi. Transfer value €63 million + €3 million in bonuses.Zabarnyi will be allowed to travel once the two clubs have signed the documents. The defender will be in Paris before Wednesday.”
It was almost a done deal last night, but it’s now apparently a done deal. It’s only a matter of time before Zabarnyi arrives at PSG. It should apparently happen later today, with an official announcement possibly this evening or tomorrow. Or even Monday; sometimes the club takes its time.
