Ilya Zabarnyi, the 22-year-old central defender from Bournemouth (contract until 2028) and Ukraine, has been announced as a defensive priority for Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer window. There is now talk of an imminent transfer to PSG. Journalists Fabrice Hawkins and Sacha Tavolieri have also confirmed this.
Fabrice Hawkins
“Ilia Zabarnyi arrives in Paris. PSG and Bournemouth have reached an agreement in principle for around €66 million.Five-year contract for the Ukrainian central defender”
Sacha Tavolieri :
“Ilya Zabarnyi to Paris Saint Germain, it’s a done deal! AFC Bournemouth and PSG reached a full agreement this Friday for €70 million, including bonuses. A five-year contract. Zabarnyi has been given permission to travel.”
Everyone agrees that PSG has finally finalized Zabarnyi’s arrival. While Bournemouth seemed intent on finding his replacement before giving the green light, the Ukrainian is expected to arrive in Paris in the next few hours to undergo a medical and sign his contract. As for the transfer fee, it’s estimated to be between €66 million and €70 million. A small difference for a significant investment.
