Marco Asensio, the 29-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder/forward under contract until 2026, has failed to fully establish himself under coach Luis Enrique. He was loaned to Aston Villa for the second half of the 2024-2025 season but was not retained by the English club. However, he could ultimately return, according to The Telegraph.

PSG intends to reduce its financial compensation in order to quickly remove Asensio from its payroll.
Asensio has attracted interest from Turkish and Saudi clubs during this transfer window.
