Marco Asensio, Paris Saint-Germain’s 29-year-old midfielder/attacker under contract until 2026, failed to fully establish himself with coach Luis Enrique. So he was loaned out to Aston Villa for the second half of the 2024-2025 season, but was not retained by the English club. Now that he’s back, we’re waiting to find out what his future holds. L’Equipe reports this Wednesday that another club has made a move, in addition to Fenerbahçe (who have offered PSG 15 million euros).
“Asensio will have to make a decision, as the Spaniard has a second offer on the table, but the name of the club has not yet been revealed.
In recent years, Asensio seemed to be heading for coach José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe. However, there appears to be another option. But it’s not yet known. Nothing impossible, since the Spaniard is a talented player who can attract a variety of offers.
Nor can we rule out the possibility that this rumour may come from the player’s entourage or from PSG, in order to put a little pressure on the Turkish club in the negotiations. Let’s wait and see. At least, it’s a case that seems to be gathering pace, and we can look forward to an outcome without waiting until the end of the summer.
