This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) will face Vendée Fontenay (National 3, the fifth tier of French football) at the Stade de la Beaujoire in the Round of 32 of the 2025-2026 Coupe de France (kick-off at 9 pm, CET). Following Friday’s training session, on the eve of the match, the club provided an update on injuries.
“- Suffering from a muscle injury in his left thigh during Wednesday’s match against Flamengo, Lee Kang-In will be unavailable for several weeks.
Matvey Safonov suffered a fracture of his left hand following the match against Flamengo. His condition will be reassessed in 3 to 4 weeks.
Bradley Barcola remains in treatment due to muscle fatigue.”
Lee Kang-In will therefore be out for several weeks, as expected. For Matvey Safonov, this is very bad news, as he was in top form. He will miss at least the restart on January 4 against Paris FC, and almost certainly the Trophée des Champions against OM on January 8. Bradley Barcola should return soon, but he needs rest after a busy period.
