Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, SSC Napoli’s 23-year-old striker under contract until 2027, was the target of a concrete offer from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2024 summer mercato, but his club didn’t open the door despite pressure from his entourage. PSG came back this winter, and this time the Neapolitan club opened up to the Georgian’s desire to leave. Several journalists have confirmed that the deal is now almost complete, for a sum of between 70 and 75 million euros, plus bonuses.

“Verbal agreement between PSG and Napoli for €75m according to Di Marzio!

The two clubs are now in the final details.

75 million fixed share already agreed verbally a few days ago.

The deal will therefore be free of charge.”

🔴🔵🇬🇪 Paris Saint-Germain have reached verbal agreement in principle with Napoli for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

There’s always only an official announcement to be certain of, so we’re keeping a small degree of caution. But it would be very surprising if Kvaratskhelia didn’t turn up at PSG this week. The biggest doubt today is about the timing, which in the end is just a detail. As for the sum spent by PSG, it’s generally around 80 million euros, including bonuses. Which seems reasonable for such a player. Much more than the 100+ that Napoli demanded last summer.

Paris has been patient in advancing its project. Let’s hope that the Georgian can quickly adapt to PSG. At least, he seems to suit coach Luis Enrique perfectly. Paris will also need to qualify for the rest of the Champions League, as he will not be allowed to play in the last 2 matches of the league phase.
