Jhon Duran, Aston Villa’s 21-year-old Colombian striker (contract runs until 2030), has been mentioned as a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. However, L’Equipe claims that he will instead be heading for Al-Nassr (currently 4th in the Saudi Arabian league).

Cela pouvait être le PSG cet été.
“For a long time, Aston Villa let it slip that Jhon Duran (21) would not be leaving the club this winter. The English managers turned down all offers and were already preparing to talk about next summer. This was also the case with Paris Saint-Germain. However, the Saudi club Al-Nassr came calling.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s club has been pushing for several days with considerable resources. Aston Villa have changed their tune completely. Durán, who has already reached a contractual agreement with the Saudi club, is now waiting for the two management teams to do the same. According to English sources, Aston Villa are in the process of accepting an offer in excess of €70m.”
We remain cautious, as the transfer is not yet official and we know that the mercato can quickly change. But the trend over the last few days has been for Duran to move to Saudi Arabia. This may come as a disappointment, given that there seemed to be a real possibility of a move to PSG.
However, there have only been rumours and nothing official. It’s not possible to say for sure at the moment. In any case, if the player prefers to head for this championship, Paris must concentrate on other avenues.
