Jhon Duran, Aston Villa’s 21-year-old Colombian striker (contract runs until 2030), has been mentioned as a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. In recent days, however, he has been rumored to be headed for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr. In fact, journalist Fabrizio Romano now claims that the matter has been settled.
The agreement between the two clubs is said to be for 77 million euros plus bonuses, while Duran is said to be ready for his medical this Thursday. The transfer will almost certainly be official in the near future, putting an end to a PSG lead. At least in the rumours, as there has never been any confirmation of a Parisian attempt.
Don’t worry though, there are plenty of other possible leads. Duran was never an obvious choice for the Parisian project. Let’s just wait and see which projects move forward in Paris. We’re mainly expecting departures at the end of the winter mercato, while other moves (after Khvicha Kvaratkshelia) will more likely wait until the summer.
