This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Brest (8th) at the Stade Francis-Le Blé for the 20th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025 (kick-off 5pm, CET). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
As ever, it’s difficult to be certain of the Spanish coach’s choices, given his ability to surprise and use competition on a daily basis. We don’t have all the facts, and we also lack the exact analysis made by the coach and his staff.
And let’s not forget the possible fatigue caused by the last few games, including Wednesday’s match in Stuttgart, which is bound to leave its mark. Then there’s the 8th final of the French Cup against Le Mans on Tuesday (National, 3rd French division), with an opponent that is normally more affordable, but also no margin for error.
Possible line-up:
Kvaratskhelia – Dembélé – Barcola
Doué – Vitinha – Ruiz
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Safonov
Substitutes – Donnarumma, Tenas, Beraldo, Hernandez, Kimpembe, Zague, Lee, Mayulu, Asensio, Ramos.
Out – Mbaye, Zaïre-Emery, Neves (injury), El Hannach, Tape (choice).
Possible suspension for yellow card: Bradley Barcola.
This would be effective from Tuesday February 11, i.e. for the trip to Toulouse on the weekend of February 15 for Ligue 1 matchday 22.
