Interviewed by UEFA, Davide Frattesi (midfielder, 24) gave his analysis ahead of the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain (May 31), underlining the collective strength of the Parisian club. However, the Italian international prefers to emphasize his team’s ability to compete with the big boys, above and beyond their individual opponents.
Frattesi “I’d say their strength is the whole team (laughs)”.
“I’d say their strength is the whole team (laughs). Paris has top-level international players who don’t need any more introductions or anything. I think we’ll have to concentrate on ourselves, rather than thinking about their strengths or weaknesses.
Because I think we’ve shown when we go out there, we may not win, but we can play against anyone.”
We must never minimize the impact of a final on a group. PSG are having a great season, and so are Inter Milan. The momentum is more Parisian as the season draws to a close, with Milan in the thick of the battle for top spot in Serie A.
It won’t be an easy match for either team, and both will have to play their best soccer. PSG can make history, while Inter Milan want to get back to winning ways. We’re looking forward to it, because it’s going to be a great final, between two teams with immense qualities.
